The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) CREATE Program (or « FONCER » in French) is a training program oriented towards innovation, collaboration and research experience.
In 2014, NSERC approved a CREATE program designed specifically for post-graduate students and postdoctoral fellows whose research project is in the area of competitive manufacturing and/or design for manufacturing for the aerospace industry.
The project is a collaboration between CRIAQ, McGill University, ÉTS, Concordia, Université Laval, École Polytechnique, Bombardier and Pratt & Whitney Canada. At ÉTS, the AÉROÉTS group will be coordinating administrative aspects of this project.
Students admitted to the program will continue their graduate work at ÉTS, while also pursuing professional development courses/workshops and completing a mandatory industry internship. Students will therefore acquire professional skills that will be recognized just as much as their research capabilities upon graduation, improving their job prospects in the aerospace industry.
Students will receive a yearly stipend of $6,600 for their full participation in the program.
Please note that your application must be supported by your supervising professor and submitted directly to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please copy email@example.com on your application so that we can keep track of applicants from ÉTS.
